Georges Boujakly
Beirut → Topeka, Kansas. Georges apprenticed under a master carver in Beirut at thirteen, learning period furniture the old way — watching, preparing, then finally carving. After immigrating to Canada in 1969 and a forty-year life of ministry across North America, he returned to the chisel. His functional art — boxes, trays, wall pieces, figures — is still carved exactly as it was taught to him: chisels and gouges, never machines.
