Angel Knight Guardian Book-Box — Walnut & Hornbeam

Angel Knight Guardian — Edgar Hovhannisyan's name for this book-box — is carved in walnut and hornbeam with gold-leaf gilding on the raised work: a winged guardian bearing a helmet, shield, and cross on the front cover, an inscribed medallion on the back, and Edgar's maker's mark on the spine. 102 hours of hand carving, to his own design and patterns.
