Winged Heart Jewelry Box — Walnut & Hornbeam

A large jewelry chest by Edgar Hovhannisyan (2022). The front centers on a winged heart held on by magnets, and a small lidded box sits on top, also held by magnets. Edgar made even the brass corners, limiters and lock by hand; the golden parts are gold leaf under lacquer. 286 hours of carving, not counting drawings. Outside 51 x 39 x 26 cm.
